Every child needs a foundation to build their learning on, a cornerstone that keeps new ideas and concepts from falling apart. Unfortunately, many students lack this foundation or have huge chunks of it missing. As they try to build on the unstable learning, they find that what they’ve been taught falls through the gaps or comes tumbling down at the slightest hint of difficulty. They become frustrated, lose confidence in themselves, and begin to hate learning.
Cornerstone Knowledge isn’t just any tutoring company. We actively seek to repair the foundational learning of our students so they can learn better without needing extra help. We work to rebuild self-confidence and enjoyment of learning. We teach them skills when tackling new and difficult topics so they can conquer new learning without a tutor. Our goal is unlike any other: to work ourselves out of a job. While we aid students with their schooling and homework as desired, our aim is to help kids learn better, perform better, and succeed by themselves. Our tutoring will help kids succeed throughout their entire life.

Tutoring Options
Learning is individual. Attention span is too. Find the right choice for you.
One Hour
With this tutoring option, your child would receive one hour of in-person tutoring. This option works best for students with longer attention spans, including first grade and up. This can be customized as needed if you need multiple sessions per week. We are currently accepting new students.
Custom Time
For students with short attention spans such as pre-schoolers, kindergarteners, and some first graders, customize their session for 30-min, 40-min, or 45-min. This tutoring option works the best when meeting at least 2 times a week. This gives room for brains to absorb information while still giving enough time for learning. This can be customized as needed.

First Sessions Are Always 50% Off
At Cornerstone Knowledge, we know that finding the right tutor isn’t always easy. That’s why our initial sessions are always 50% off no matter what with no commitment to future sessions.
Looking for a further discount? We give away free first-session coupons to all of our current clients. If you know one of our clients, chances are they can help you out. We also do social media giveaways if you follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
What happens at the first session? Our first session is a trial to make sure we are a good fit for your student. In this session, we spend some time building rapport with your child and assessing their current skillset. Once you decide to continue tutoring, we use that information to develop a personalized tutoring plan that uses the child’s interests to repair their foundational knowledge.
1-2 Sessions Per Week
$50
This is our standard session price for one hour. Our custom times are pro-rated. For example, a 30-minute session is only $25. Scroll down to see what’s included in this price.
3+ Sessions Per Week
$45
If you schedule three or more sessions a week, we reduce the price per session to $45 per hour. This includes our custom time which is pro-rated based on the discounted price.
Virtual Sessions
$40
Our virtual tutoring session is at a discounted rate, but the value is the same as our in-person tutoring. We only offer hour sessions with virtual tutoring. This is a great money-saving option.
What’s Included in Our Price
Personalized Learning That Works
After the initial session, our team looks over the assessments and develops a personalized tutoring plan focused on gaining missing knowledge and rebuilding unstable concepts. We take everything into account from disabilities to skills to the interests of the child. We use games, hands-on manipulatives, crafts, and more to help your child get back to grade level and succeed in all future learning.
Take-Home Crafts and Activities
For kids to learn a concept, they need to be introduced to it repetitively. Part of our tutoring program includes take-home activities that will continue the child’s learning at home. This includes games, manipulatives, crafts, fun worksheets, and more. Many of these activities can be found in our kits at a high price, but we include them for our clients in our session price. Activities can be done individually, with the tutor, or with the parent.
Well-Trained Tutors
Our tutors are well-trained in educating students. They not only have educational backgrounds but also receive extensive training after hiring. We include trauma-informed training, neurodiversity training, social-emotional learning training, and training in the Cornerstone Knowledge tutoring method.
We also believe our tutors deserve to be paid well. Our pricing allows us to continue to do that.
