Cornerstone Knowledge is looking for a patient, passionate tutor skilled in any area of academics. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students. 

As a tutor for Cornerstone Knowledge, you’ll be able to set your own hours and schedule. You’ll be provided with hundreds of resources to support your students. You’ll also receive extensive training in our methods and working with children. We promise that any time you invest in us will be invested back into you.

• thorough knowledge of a specific academic subject or multiple subjects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain challenging ideas in creative ways

• Flexibility in personalizing topics to each student’s learning style

Job Responsibilities

• Building students’ foundational knowledge and confidence
• Reframing complex concepts in a way they can understand
• Working with other tutors to plan personalized lessons, games, and activities for your students
• Review classroom and curriculum goals for the subject
• Conduct assessments to measure a student’s skill level
• Providing positive feedback to both parents and students
• Reaching out to teachers to get information about students

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Expertise in at least one academic subject
• Pass a background check

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or working with kids
• Experience working with neurodivergent kids
• Proficient knowledge of researched-based child education practices and child development
